Report a Problem
From Fur Affinity Wiki
|
If you are having problems with Fur Affinity or need to report an issue, help is right around the corner. You can report your problem to the staff via Forums, by opening a Trouble Ticket or via this Wiki.
How to Report a Problem
Opening a Trouble Ticket:
Go to the Control Panel and open the Trouble Tickets link under the System Support tab. Trouble Tickets are the preferred method for problem reporting. They’re safe, confidential and are your direct line between you and the support staff. The team will make every effort to keep you informed of any action which they have taken to resolve the issue. Please Note: While we will make every effort to be prompt in our response, Fur Affinity staff is operated entirely by volunteers, and as such responses can take up to 72 hours.
Post on Our Forums
Our support forums are open 24/7 to report problems and issues and are checked regularly by the entire staff. Posts made to the Support Forums are public, so keep in mind that sensitive issues are best kept to Trouble Tickets. However, the benefit of them being public is that fellow users can have a chance to assist or offer their advice. Please note: The forums are on a separate server than the main site, and require registration before posting. This is done so that, in the event Fur Affinity goes offline, the forums remain online and active.
Reporting Problems
We make every attempt to verify issues before taking action, and will investigate all claims. An admin reviews each case individually, and as such, resolution times may vary depending on the complexity of problem.
Types of Harassment
Image Theft
Art theft is defined as tracing, copying and/or taking credit for another artist's work. Fur Affinity takes image theft seriously, and makes every attempt it can to verify the legitimacy of a claim of theft. When reporting art theft please provide as much of the following information as possible: links to the original artwork and stolen artwork; as well as any contact information for the original artist.
Harassment
Harassment is defined as any user specifically targeting individuals and/or groups in an attempt to harm or inconvenience them. Harassment can take many forms, and it is at the admins' discretion as to whether or not a "reasonable person" would feel harassed or threatened and act accordingly.
Before filing a harassment report, we highly suggest users to add the offending party to your block list.
Remember: it takes two to tango. If we find that you are leaving incendiary remarks towards the user in return we may consider that to be harassment as well, and may take action against both parties. Just because they may have insulted you does not give you the right to return fire. In addition, mere disagreements are NOT considered harassment. More often than not, we find cases of harassment to be users simply having a difference of opinion.
When reporting harassment please provide the following information: links to any posts, journals or shouts which you feel are inflammatory; the date and time of the incident; and all users involved.
Identity Theft
If you feel that an account has been created by an impostor please notify the administration immediately. The admin team will contact the original user and verify their identity using any public means necessary. Once verified, the admin team will turn over the account to the rightful owner.
False and/or Multiple Reports of Non-Issues
Falsifying a report of abuse will result in action being taken against your account. “Crying wolf” will not be tolerated. It is a waste time and detracts from being able to handle real issues. In addition, once you have filed a report there is no need to file another. The administration will address your issue the moment it can. Spamming multiple reports may also result in action being taken against your account, and will not result in your issue being responded to any faster. However, if the issue is urgent we do suggest contacting an admin directly to alert them to the ticket.
