Servbot, our advertising server, generates over 200,000,000 advertisements monthly on the Fur Affinity network. Each ad is served piping hot and oven fresh daily to provide maximum clicking enjoyment. Powered by OpenX, we offer advertisements by and for the community relevant to the fandom's interest.
Revenue generated by advertisements goes towards server maintenance and for the purchase of new servers.
Advertising Rates
- Micro(180x75) - $20.00/mo, $100.00/6 half year
Micro banners rotate out of three advertising slots located on the sidebar.
Maximize file size: 100K. - Leaderboards (600x98). $25.00/mo, $125/half year
Leaderboards are located on the bottom of every page on Fur Affinity (and via the forums in the near future).
Maximum file size: 250K.
All advertisements include weekly statistics delivered via e-mail.
Advertising Requirements
Ads must be targeted and/or related to the general interests of the community. This can include furry websites, auction houses (or auctions themselves), products for sale, or general interest items. On occasions, exceptions may be made regarding content, but this is rare and on a case-by-case basis.
Placing an ad on Fur Affinity is a painless, simple process. To start, simply...
- Message Dragoneer via note on Fur Affinity regarding the ad, including a description of the ad, the website it targets and how you feel it benefits the community.
- If approved from the fist stage, Dragoneer will instruct you to send an example of your ad to him via e-mail. Ads will be reviewed for content and quality before going live. Once approved, Dragoneer will send you payment instructions via e-mail. Rejected ads will be returned with comments as to why it was declined. You are free to resubmit a revised ad for consideration.
- Once payment is received, ads will go live within 24 hours.
Ad Limitations
- Animated Ads: Ads with animation should be kept to no more than five frames (though exceptions can be made), and may not contain tweened animation. In addition, rapidly flashing and/or obnoxious colors or patterns are NOT permitted.
- Mature Ads: Mature ads are only visible to users who have mature art enable. While we permit mature ads we request that the ad be tasteful. No nudity or maturity may be showing, and the ad must be "work safe".
In the Event of Downtime
Ads will be automatically extended by 24 hours in the event of downtime which lasts four (4) hours or more. By default, all ads are given a two (2) day "buffer" time to compensate for scheduled downtime and maintenance.
